Partners is a partnership between our church and others in three areas – Wythenshawe, East Manchester and Penrhys. All the churches benefit from this partnership by meeting for activities and conferences and by helping each other in different ways

We have a number of fund raising events to meet areas of need. We also collect unwanted, but still useful, furniture and household items, which we take to St. Mark's Church, Wythenshawe. Twice each year we collect "good as new" clothing and take it to Penrhys Uniting Church in the Rhondda.

Book Club. We meet on a Monday afternoon and evening every two months to discuss a set book. Any member of the group may choose a book - not necessarily a book he or she has already read. Prior to the meeting we try to find out a little about the author in order to better understand the style of writing and content of the book. The meetings are very interesting - we share thoughts, opinions and philosophies on a wide variety of subjects.

Water Colour Challenge. The watercolour class, held in the large hall every Friday, has been in existence now for several years - it started on the 10th day of this century! On Friday at 10.a.m. prompt we assemble for two and a half hours for watercolour painting. A subject is prechosen - a landscape maybe, or still life, or an item from the news,or a portrait,a farm scene or a seascape or something else. A colour picture of the subject is provided for each member.

We have two gallery boards in the small hall for the paintings finished this week, and one for those who finished their painting - at home - from last week! These are admired or otherwise after the church service on Sunday, and are of course admired during the week when other activities take place in the small hall.

The class contains experienced painters, improvers and beginners. Help is available when required, and while regular members own their own painting equipment, all items are available for the beginner, or any member who forgets his or her brushes, paints, workpad, ruler, or rubber.

The traditional Friday meetings close at the end of July indoors. For the Fridays of August outdoor painting is enjoyed in gardens of the members. Details of these or any other changes are highlighted in the Church car park notice board.

We have a policy of outreach so anyone is welcome, even if he or she has never painted before. Anyone new to painting is advised not to make extravagant purchases of materials as spare materials can be provided to get started, and of course advice is available on suitable purchases.

So everyone is welcome, come along you may even enjoy it!
