Information Regarding the Hiring of Church Premises

Available for hiring are the Church Sanctuary and Vestibule. Hire charges are from £10 per hour.
A letting normally includes a "setting-up" and a "clearing -away" period and these would be included in the number of hours charged together with rehearsal time.
Where staging is required or special seating arrangements in the SANCTUARY the hirer will be asked to undertake any moving or placing of the staging or seating required and restoring afterwards to the original positions or storage.
At all events where staging is required a member of the Church will attend the event at the setting-up and the clearing-away stages to advise on and supervise the work.
The booking agreement will provide that any damage shall be paid for by the hirer at repair or replacement cost.
At events where the screen, special lighting or audio-visual facilities will be used a Church member will attend to give initial advice as to the operation of the systems if required. In the booking agreement the hirer will be required to arrange insurance cover against damage to this equipment. An additional charge of £25, will be made.
Funerals and services of thanksgiving and weddings fall outside all these arrangements.
The total area of the Church building including an upper balcony can provide seating for about 300 persons. If the stage which is available for musical or dramatic performances is used, there is seating for about 285 persons If in addition the outer vestibule is used for seating another 32 persons who would have a view of the platform and stage can be added to those numbers, still leaving room for entry and exit to the entire area.
The Vestibule may be used on its own for smaller conferences, committee meetings, or charity events. Seating is available for 50-60 persons with a tea and coffee servery for the same number.
Please note we do not permit:
Auctions, raffles, or commercial sales; smoking or chewing gum; food or drink in the SANCTUARY (there is a small servery for tea and coffee available in the VESTIBULE).
Language or content which our Church members would find distasteful.
